Breath-taking Zion National Park Elopement

Casey and Justin had an elopement experience they’ll never forget! When Casey got in touch with me, she wanted two things, to be stunned by a jaw dropping view and to celebrate her special day with close friends and family. So that’s what we did.

Casey and Justin started off the morning with a sunrise hike in Zion National Park. We hiked out in the dark and arrived just as the sun started to light up the red rocks around us. I think Casey got the view she was looking for on her wedding day. Zion National Park has some of the coolest & most unique red rocks in the U.S. It’s the perfect place for an adventure elopement.

Since C & J knew they wanted to celebrate with friends and family (and their guests wouldn’t want to be waking up at 3:30am for a sunrise hike), these two booked out a space at the Switchback Grill in Springdale, Utah to have their ceremony & reception at. So after a mid-morning nap and some delicious Mexican breakfast food- we met back up in the afternoon to get ready for the ceremony & celebration.

Casey’s daughter walked her down the aisle and had the cutest moment with Justin right before the ceremony.

Casey and Justin decided to do what I like to call the 50/50 split! This is an elopement day where you can have your adventure elopement in the morning or on day 1, and then finish off with a small ceremony and celebration with family and friends! This is a great option if you’re wanting to elope but you’re torn about being away from family that day. You can read more about including your family in your elopement here.

Elopements are about doing what you want for your wedding day. So you can still include traditional elements that big weddings have! Casey & Justin still had family with them, did best man and bridesmaid speeches, cut a cake, and had a traditional ceremony with family photos.

All in all, it was a magical day filled with great views, family and a whole lot of love!
